Sapphire Sands is possibly one of the best villas I’ve ever stayed in. With a direct view of the ocean waves, every minute in the house feels like a dream. The beds are amazingly comfortable, and using the washroom feels like a downright luxury. It has a direct gate to the beach which we use every day. The housekeeper Aravinda also keeps the house in tip top condition and I highly recommend his sri style breakfast as his dahl is very wow. It also comes with a very detailed welcome guide that is sure to make any travellers feel like a local!

The best part of my trip here to Sri Lanka was staying at Sapphire Sands. It is absolutely surreal to have the Indian Ocean at my feet. I could hang out at the yard for hours on end just to watch the waves. I loved everything about this accommodation. It's clean, accessible, has a pool, warm and inviting interior design. Even their shampoo / lotion smells heavenly. The owners have painstakingly wrote a guide to exploring neighbouring areas so that was really helpful. Aravinda, the steward makes the best Sri Lankan breakfast. He's also almost available when we need his help. One small suggestion from me is to have a couple more trash bins around. There was only one trash bin in one bathroom, instead of one each in both. It posed a very minor inconvenience but believe it's one that's easy to fix. All in all, I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at Sapphire Sands. If I were to come back to Galle, this where I'll be staying at.

The most scenic and picturesque beachfront house in Unawatuna. Decor was outstandingly designed with intricate details throughout, our stay was made even better by the steward that tended to our needs and even whipped out delicious breakfasts. Waking up to crashing waves literally at your doorstep made this a dream vacation getaway.

We travelled through Kandy, Ella and Galle and this was seriously the best villa we encountered. Coordination with the host was straightforward and fast. The host prepared a laminated guide of the villa and things to do, all of which we tried were awesome recommendations (widaya beach has one of the best food and very value for money). Aravinda (house contact) was very friendly and help prepared amazing breakfast (ask for the local breakfast, one of the best Dahl curry we had on the trip). He also assisted with the arrangement of tuktuk, massage straight at the villa and gave great advice on the food options. And the villa itself just blew our mind! Beds were clean and comfortable, and the soaps/shampoo/lotions seems to be a Sapphire Sands special- smelled great! On the surroundings, straight outside the house was the beach (it was a pity the waves were huge, 5-10 mins walk towards widaya beach we saw 3 turtles at 10am fighting the waves in the water). Overall, we will definitely wanna revisit the Sapphire Sands when we return to Galle. Thanks for taking great care of us!

It was our best choice for our stay in Galle, amazing house with wonderful view on the sea. It was really relaxing for my family, my 3 boys were able to play ball in the garden and jump in the pool. The house was spotless clean and internet good speed, TV with multi channels were great for my boys. Safety wise, no worry at all, there was a guard on patrol during the night. Aravinda the manager of the house was helping doing grocery, food delivery, tuk tuk ordering and even making a BBQ one night. Great help. Conclusion: it was teh best choice for our stay
