The Surf House a Surf Villa in Ahangama Sri Lanka

Set beside a sliver of sand spiked with stilt fishing sticks to the west of surf-friendly Kabalana Bay, this homely four-bedroom villa celebrates the ocean from every veranda and room; each spacious bedroom soaks up stunning views of the sea from wide picture windows whilst folding doors in the living and dining room expansively open up the uncluttered interiors to the panoramic sea scenes. The villa follows a contemporary, yet minimal, interior design with soft, earthy shades prevailing.

Beyond the villa and long veranda lies an emerald lawn pricked by palm trees. Loungers laid out here make the most of the sun’s rays, whilst a raised lounge area heightens the views of sea and beach and is ideal for breakfast or sunset cocktails. To the side of the villa is a turquoise swimming pool with jacuzzi jets and a separate kids’ paddling pool. The pavilion here is furnished with benches for enjoying the scenes, and it also doubles up as a spa ‘room’. When it comes to dining, there is a formal dining table indoors but tables can be set up under the stars on the lawn, on the upper balcony, or wherever you wish.
